Tremblay, Ernest Maurice

(March 10, 1927 – September 1, 2014) - Peacefully, with his family by his side at the Blind River District Health Centre on Monday September 1, 2014.  Ernie Tremblay in his 88th year, beloved husband of Simone McCoy for 32 years.  Loving father of Robert Tremblay ( Eilish ) of Blind River and Sherri Bordeleau ( Randy ) of Sault Ste. Marie and Step-father to Giselle Whitehead ( Todd ) of Azilda, Mike McCoy ( Brenda ) of Blind River, Don McCoy and Richard McCoy both of Ottawa.  Special Papa Ernie to Lexie and Colt Whitehead, Katie, Shawn and Bridgette Tremblay, Brad McCoy, Michelle Smith, Kelsey and Mandy Bordeleau  and Great Grandfather to several great grandchildren.  Dear brother of Anne Marie Tremblay, Ghislain Bernier, Jean-Yves Tremblay, Jackie Tremblay and the late Annette Jacques, Charles Tremblay and Paul Tremblay.  Dear brother-in-law of Theresa Collins and the late Rolly Villeneuve.  Friends may call at the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.  Funeral service at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, Blind River on Friday September 5, 2014 at 10 o’clock followed by cremation.  Interment at Hillside Cemetery at a later date.  Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. James the Greater Catholic Church gratefully accepted.  www.menardfh.com
