MAN ARRESTED FOR THEFT
Patrol officers arrested 26-year old Kelly Boyer of 81 Gran Street yesterday afternoon. It is alleged he stole a jacket from Sears. Yesterday morning around 10:30, Sears security staff observed Boyer steal several items including a suede jacket, however, he fled the store before he could be apprehended.

Mid-afternoon, police observed Boyer sporting the jacket downtown in the area of the city bus terminal where he was arrested after a struggle with officers. Police recovered numerous items of clothing that had been stolen from Sears and were in a tote bag the accused was carrying. Total value of the property recovered was $725.00. Boyer has been charged with one count of theft, possession of stolen property, and resisting arrest.
