Dear Mrs. Irving, City Clerk

At the city council meeting on July 22, 2002 and with your advertisement in the "Sault Star" I have teamed that the ward three office will be filled by means of appointment. I would like to enter my name to be considered for such an appointment.

I have lived in the Sault all of my life and have lived in ward 3 for the past 13 years.

I have always been interested in politics and have always considered running for a council position, but was either too young or had no time.

This time, however, I have both.

I have been following city council meetings for sometime now and I know that I would be great at the job of ward 3 councillor.

I work with the public at my everyday job and really enjoy doing so.

This, I believe is the best asset a city councillor can have.

A city councillor must know how to talk with people and not be afraid to voice their opinion, but also respect the opinion of others.

A city councillor must keep an open mind all of the time and listen to many opinions before coming to a final decision.

I am a very dedicated person and when I start something I finish it.

I believe that given chance I can and will be the best councillor that ward three has ever had.

That is all I need is the chance to do so. In closing I would like to say that I will be at the next city council meeting on August 12, 2002 at 4:00 pm.

I invite any questions that you or any other councillor may have at that time.

Thank you, Kelly Marshall *************************************************************************** KELLY MARSHALL 527 Placid Ave. Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario P6B 3M4(705) 942-0289
