The Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce's Outstanding Business Achievement Awards is just over a week away — and the nominees are in.

The awards recognize businesses nominated for their entrepreneurship, innovations and business savvy.

Chamber CEO Rory Ring noted that more than 170 nominations were received in 19 categories, with nearly 75 of those nominees meeting the award criteria.

"An independent panel of Chamber volunteers from a wide range of business sectors and backgrounds are now currently scoring the follow-up written submissions provided by each nominee," Ring said. "Once scored, the award recipients will be announced at the Chamber’s annual Outstanding Business Achievement Awards on Thursday, May 9th.”

Tickets are available on the Sault Community Theatre Centre website. Those interested in attending can also call the box office for tickets at 705-945-7299. Group ticket options are also available for groups of 6 and 10.
