BRUCE STREET REMAINS CLOSED The Bruce Street railway crossing will remain closed through most of today as the clean-up operation continues. A tanker car left the tracks and spilled gasoline adjacent to the crossing on Wednesday.

The Bruce Street railway crossing will remain closed through most of today as the clean-up operation continues. A tanker car left the tracks and spilled gasoline adjacent to the crossing on Wednesday. Police and firefighters continue to monitor the situation and have announced that no gasoline has entered the St. Mary's River due to the flushing of the storm sewer system. People who were evacuated and want to return to their homes should check in with the police command station at Bruce and Wellington or phone them at 946-9291

POLICE & CANINE UNIT LOOKING FOR VEHICLE THIEVES
Officers and the Canine Unit have been in the Shannon Road area this morning tracking suspects in connection with two possible stolen vehicles overnight. Officers discovered two vehicles parked behind St. Matthews Church on Wellington East at 4:30 this morning.
