OPP nabs driver going 99 km/h over limit on TransCanada

Driver was clocked Thursday going more than double the posted speed limit

THUNDER BAY — OPP nabbed a driver along the Trans Canada Highway on Thursday who was allegedly doing 99 km/h over the speed limit.

While on patrol, police caught a driver doing 189 km/h in a 90 km/h zone — more than double the speed limit.

A 22-year-old man from Winnipeg was charged with stunt driving.

His vehicle was impounded and his licence has been suspended.
