Maire Louise Ketola (13/4/1950) passed peacefully on 30/4/2024 with family by her side at Brampton Civic Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. She was a beloved daughter of Mildred (late Arvo); sister to Ruth (Ed), Irene (Rick), late infant Andrew, Laura (Trevor); Tati to Rebecca (Erik), Patrick (Hannah); and great aunt to Waylon, Oliver, Weston and Conrad.
Music was her world. She taught for the Peel District School Board for many years and then in retirement, Music for Young Children. Maire also sang for many years in the St George United Church choir. She was an avid dog lover always having a dog in her life. Summers were always spent at the family camp at Minkpoint, Desbarats. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date with interment in Sault Ste. Marie. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to the Cancer Society or an animal rescue group of your choosing in her name.
