Flying start: Runway Park ready to kick off motocross season

If you're looking for something to get the adrenaline pumping this weekend, Runway Park has the answer.

A two-day family race event kicks off on Saturday at the motocross facility on Airport Road.

Local and out-of-town riders will be a part of the action with classes tailored to competitors of various experience levels.

The facility has a handful of race dates throughout the summer while park operator Ryan Nolan, owner of Nolan MX academy, also provides weekly practices for riders to hone their skills. Group sessions and one-on-one training is also available.

Race dates after this weekend include:

• June 8-9
• July 13-14
• Aug. 3-4
• Sept. 14-15
• Oct. 4-5

Runway Park will also be hosting Grass Drags on July 27-28 as well as Sept. 21-22.
