Today is "Star Wars Day" around the world — and there are certainly plenty of fans in Sault Ste. Marie.

To mark the occasion, a SooToday editor "forced" himself to put together a photo gallery of some local moments inspired by a galaxy far, far away.

And if you're looking for a Star Wars Day activity that's kid-friendly, the downtown library is hosting a "Jedi Training Academy" today between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The Saturday event will feature Star Wars-themed crafts and activities, and children can earn a Jedi Knight certificate.
