VIDEO: Six-year-old Sault girl launches a news network for kids

Hannah Buconjic has watched a lot of news during the pandemic, now she's reporting her own – including a movie review on 'Scoob!'

Sootoday recieved the following message in regards to this viewer submitted video from Nevin Buconjic:

After being exposed to a lot of news throughout the pandemic, my six-year-old daughter Hannah decided she wanted to launch her own news network, the Hannah News Network (HNN). She decided she would create her own YouTube channel for her News for Kids show.

Her goal was to report on things that kids could relate to. Her first show talked about what it was like being home during COVID-19. Her second show was about Facebook Messenger for Kids, a secure platform that allows kids to video chat with their friends and it is controlled and monitored by the parents. The third video was a weather report and the most recent show was a movie review for the new movie Scoob!

Hannah is having a blast coming up with show ideas, helping to write her scripts and learning her lines.

We are starting to see her personality come out with each video.

Her videos are shared with her classmates thanks to her teacher, and she is slowly building a following on her channel.

My wife and I are very proud of Hannah for some of her projects and initiatives. Last summer we helped her launch Hannah’s Summer Treats, her lemonade and treats stand she operates from our driveway. We are hoping she will be able to reopen this summer as well.
