Video released of Salvation Army kettle theft

The suspect waited until the volunteer was distracted and proceeded to grab the kettle containing the cash

Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are asking for your assistance in identifying a suspect in a theft.  

On the Nov. 29, 2018 at around 6:30 p.m. an unknown male attended at the Station Mall.

The suspect entered through the LCBO entrance and observed the Salvation Army donation kettle from a distance.

The suspect waited until the volunteer was distracted and proceeded to grab the kettle containing the cash.

The suspect fled the Mall while being pursued by two concerned citizens.
