Garden River held a peaceful demonstration Thursday afternoon in support of the Mi'kmaq people.

The demonstration, held at the intersection of Highway 17 and Highway 17B, was one of a number of protests held as a show of support of a Mi'kmaq lobster fishery in Nova Scotia.
