Two suspects sought in attempted October taxi robbery

Crime Stoppers in partnership with Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is requesting your assistance in identifying two suspects involved in an incident of attempted robbery and assault.

On Oct. 27, 2019, around 5:30 a.m. Soo Yellow Cab was in the area of Boston Avenue when two unknown suspects approached the vehicle. Suspect #1 approached the driver's side of the vehicle, while Suspect #2 approached the back of the vehicle.

Suspect #1 pointed an airsoft gun at the driver and demanded all his money. The driver swatted the gun away and refused to give the suspect anything. The suspect then shot the driver three times in the arm before fleeing the scene on foot.

Both suspects are described as young males who were wearing all black. They both wore jackets or sweaters with a hood and bandana to cover their faces.
