The Winter family is a wonderful, community-minded local family that has given back to our area through various volunteer programs.
On top of being busy with two young daughters, work, volunteering and running a small local farm, the family is also dealing with mom Teri's serious health issues.
Teri's heart is failing and she is in need of a heart transplant. A few months ago she was flown from SAH to Toronto General Hospital to await a donor heart. Teri is still in the Toronto hospital, away from her family, awaiting news of a new heart.
