On the twelfth day of Christmas, an entire wish list is checked off

Our Pay it Forward community partner for this year's 12 Days of Christmas Random Acts of Kindness program is ARCH Hospice. ARCH provides compassionate end-of-life care to residents of Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District, at no cost. The organization is only partially government funded, requiring nearly $750,000 annually in fundraising and community support to finance their operations. At the beginning of our 12 Days of Christmas program this year, the Village Media team asked ARCH to provide us with a wish list of items they would love to have at the hospice to make their residents and families more comfortable during their stay. What they didn't know was that the Village Media elves were working overtime to check off every single item on their wish list before our 12 days were up! 

For this very special wish list of gifts, we have some incredible sponsors who were very excited to provide ARCH with the following:
 a 4x4 tractor for snow removal and lawn maintenance, generously provided by Albert Giommi from National Supply; a portable electronic piano, purchased by an anonymous sponsor; a musical talent partnership for future music requests, provided by Case's Music; an iPad, a tie plate maker, and a bread maker, provided by Digital Intelligence Group (DIG); a hospitality partnership and ARCH preferred and special rates for the families of ARCH residents, presented by Algoma's Water Tower Inn and Suites; a T-Fal Actifry deep fryer, gifted by Medigas; a gift basket from St. Joseph's Island Coffee Roasters; a community partnership with Metro Churchill Plaza for bakery needs; and a high-efficiency stove generously donated by an individual who wishes to remain anonymous. An unprecedented community effort for an organization who provides care for some of our most vulnerable community members. We are truly blessed to have such a place in Sault Ste. Marie.
