VIDEO: 'They want to do something in life'

Today's video concludes a new series that shares the real stories of people in our community who use social services.

The District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board worked with local film production studio Village Electric to produce a series of five videos that share real stories of people in our community who use social services.

The videos are meant to put a human voice behind these stories and shatter the many stereotypes that people who use social services often face.

This week's video, “Snapshots of Society", begins with an interview with Jessie Baijal, Case Manager with Community Childcare Services, who shares some of the damaging stereotypes that she has seen people in our community face. Snapshots of Society juxtaposes common stereotypes, with the reality of many situations.
