VIDEO: 'They have had real-life tragedies to deal with'

New video series takes an inside look at true stories of people living in our community.

The District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board worked with local film production studio Village Electric to produce a series of five videos that share real stories of people in our community who use social services.

The videos are meant to put a human voice behind these stories and shatter the many stereotypes that people who use social services often face.

This week's video, “Emma’s Journey”, begins with an interview with Alison Brooks, a Tenant Support Worker with the City of Sault Ste. Marie Housing Programs Division, who discusses some of the challenges people who access social services often have to overcome.
