Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are asking your assistance in identifying a suspect in a theft and fraud.

Sometime in the early morning of Sept. 5 a vehicle was entered and a wallet containing a credit card was stolen.

At approximately 7:42 a.m. that day an unknown male entered the Mac’s Mart located at 12 Second Line W.

The male suspect used the stolen credit card to purchase a prepaid gift card from the store.

The same suspect then went to another Mac’s Mart located at 655 Wellington St. W. where he again used the stolen credit card to attempt to purchase another prepaid gift card.

This time the transaction was declined.

Both incidents were caught on video surveillance.
