Live performances, face painting and a visit from Batman rounded out the 18th annual Bushplane Days this weekend.

Bushplane Days take place at the end of every summer season at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year by offering the people of Sault Ste. Marie a jam-packed weekend of festivities.

The three-day festival had several clear crowd pleasers, including the Ministry of Natural Resources water bombing over St. Mary's river, model train rides and the United Steelworkers inflatables.

Batman wasn't the only famous character to drop by--also on-hand were Smokey Bear, Chopper the Bushplane Beaver and The Flash.
