It's hard to imagine that the Station Mall is already turning 40 years old. It's even harder to imagine Sault Ste. Marie without it.

40 years ago this week, Northern Ontario's largest shopping centre opened to huge crowds and a new way of shopping. The mall has expanded three times since then, with phase two and phase three built during the late 1980's and of course the Station Cinema being replaced with a multi screen venue with Galaxy Cinema.
