At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 201, police were called to a single residence on Moccasin Street on the Garden River First Nation that was fully engulfed in flames. The house was vacant and unoccupied.

The house was completely burnt down with the exception of the southeast room which was still intact.

Further investigation has deemed that the fire was deliberately set.
