Lake State Fire Science students feel the burn

Lake Superior State University fire science students Trey Parker and Adam Wysocki push in to squelch a gas fire during a night exercise held June 19 in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

The Michigan Propane Gas Association brought a mobile fire accident lab to LSSU's campus so students and regional fire agencies could hone suppression techniques under the roar and heat of the real thing.

Parker is fire science major minoring in psychology from Zeeland, Mich. Wysocki, from Grand Rapids, Mich., is earning a Bachelor of Science in fire science as well as an associate degree in paramedic technology.
