SAULT STE MARIE, MICH. - Dr. Richard Ganzhorn (center, striped shirt) hands keys off to Laker hockey fans taking over a skybox lease in Lake Superior State University's Taffy Abel Ice Arena.

Ganzhorn is an original Laker Loft holder from the Gem of the North renovation project that installed the boxes in 1995. Taffy Abel has been home to LSSU's NCAA Division I hockey program since 1976.

Receiving the keys are Dr. James Adair, Stan Caruso, and Chad Amo (far left). LSSU Foundation Executive Tom Coates looks on from the middle.

The loft is adorned with a new plaque dubbed “Doc’s Box” along with a standing invitation to the Ganzhorn family to drop in anytime. To support the Laker Club fund for LSSU athletics, go here.
