Have them sign a contract saying they will stay in Sault Ste Marie for say...10 years and the CITY pay their schooling.
Now that to me, would be money well spent....in my opinion anyway.

Ed and the McDougall family...I'm so very sorry to hear of Dale's passing.
Grew up around the corner from Dale on Parliament St.

The city won't support such a great educational/tourist attraction tool like Etomica which will be closing due to lack of funding....but let's spend $16,000.00 for a once a year BALL!!! What am I missing here.

Alex...I understand what you're saying...and there there are people out that do charge each time...I do not in my contracts....NEVER have.
What I meant in my earlier post was....I will go there at 3 am and plow but if it keeps snowing I go back and do it again at 3pm, with my contracts it's included and even if the plow goes by..I go back..again included.
Again..up to each contractor.

Also...there a lot of people out there trying to make an extra buck or two and I understand completely.
But there are also a lot of people ( like these people) who under cut so much that they don't consider the added costs...gas..labor..breakdowns etc etc and it's their customers that suffer.
And then there's commercial insurance, safety equipment I.e. lights back up beepers etc.
I pay $10,000 per year to plow commercially...this covers any damage I do to property. Do these private guys have commercial insurance..highly doubt it due to the cost.
My insurance company said they will not pay for ANY DAMAGE if you are plowing without commercial insurance.
The number trucks out there plowing with NO roof lights are unbelievable GFL to name just one is the worst for this...number of their pick ups out there with NO ROOF lights is crazy and why city police are not cracking down on this is beyond me...as far as I know...it is the law.

Travis, Elliot,Vic, Debbie,Pam & families,
My sincere condolences.
Kim was such a good friend and co-worker.
We had a lot of laughs at the shack these past 3-4 years and always kept me in place and was never shy on telling me.
Customers loved her as she always had a big smile along with those baby blue eyes.
I'm sure all her customers will miss her dearly...I know I definitely will.
Rest in peace Kimberly.
"Huddy" & Dina
