Louise, Matt, Kathleen, and family,
I first met Fred when I worked at the Group Health Centre in the late 70s. I eventually became a shop steward and Clarence was the union rep for CUPE 894. Fred was a generous and kind person who, as an employer, understood the value of a good working relationship between the parties, and his respect for the employees enhanced the service at GHC. He was also a gentleman. In our later years, I also knew him as a dear friend to our daughter, Michelle Dungey Gascoigne. May your many memories keep him close in your hearts as you lay him to rest.
Heartfelt condolences,

Michaela,
We are devastated and heartbroken to hear the news about Michael. We can't even comprehend this loss and we can't begin to imagine what you are going through. Your email was so touching. Michael's beautiful face and obit look so out of place in this Section, like this has to be some mistake.
Clarence will always have the fondest of memories working with Michael in those early days at the CUPE Area office on March Street, and in particular, the many good laughs they shared. That's when I first met Michael. He was truly an exceptional person and Clarence considered him a very good friend.
We loved Michael so very much and we will miss his hugs, friendship, humour, and wit... not to mention his wavy, silver locks of hair.
Our deepest condolences to you and your family. May all the beautiful memories you have had with Michael over the years bring you comfort during the days, weeks, and months ahead.

Deepest condolences to the Sepkoski family. I have many fond memories of Karl when he was covering labour news. As the national representative for CUPE in the Soo, it was inevitable that our paths would cross. We enjoyed our relationship and shared many laughs. My wife Judy Cerra also remembers Karl during her time at CJIC and as a former resident of SSM. He was always very kind. May your many memories comfort you as you grieve and keep you close during the coming months and years to come.

Maureen, Jo-Ann just informed me... another loss in such a short time. I remember Peggy well, along with her wit and humour. I hope you are taking comfort knowing she is reunited with Carl, David, and your Mom and Dad. The years pass so quickly. May your memories hold you close as you grieve.
Fondly and with love,

The purpose of the GHC, at its creation, was to reduce the burden of the ER and ensure that patients always had access to a doctor. This is a very sad situation indeed! There are far too many people suffering as a result of this shortage. I wonder if Doug Ford and family still have a doctor.
