Gloralyn and family and of course the many friends…sorry to read the passing notice of Ralph. For sure will leave a loving family empty hearted over the loss of a fine husband and caring father. The bonding within that family has always been deep and united will continue to be enriched by the wonderful memories all will share of Ralph….Ken MacDougall

Another member of the Kohler crew…we were all linked together..as I have reminded myself many times over many years..and as each ones leaves they are not alone … and within those of us who remain we become very aware that a part is missing…

Doreen …so sorry for your loss and Im sure the feelings living with that vacancy will always be a constant reminder of how sharing your lives together was truly very special. Jim was very much admired by so many and growing up together in that unique neighbourhood we all bonded in such a way as though we were one big happy family…and we stayed that way all our lives..I will miss him and everyone else will feel that absence..but will know how fortunate we have been to experienced his friendship…Kenny

We grew up together as neighbours, and shared wonderful times on Kohler St with many others, and there was always that bond that united us in our young age and remained throughout all our lives. Of course as time moves along and we drift away to be anchored elsewhere, the repeated stories of our times together are never tiring to hear over and over again and their memories have sustained us always. Bill wil be missed by all his family, and friends will always recall the fine person he was.

Nice to read all the preceding comments..all true and sincerely intended. Knowing Bob for 80 years, growing up on Kohler Street listening to the sounds coming from such a musical household, and watching Bob drawing on the bricks at the side of the house, for me, and all the neighbours, was joyous for all of us.
Now that is silent, but whenever Kohler Street folks meet, the conversation goes on and on and on. Yes, we all were fortunate. And, yes Bob, missing you is a heartbreaker...I can still hear you whistling a jazz tune as you would be walking home...bye for now!...

Feds, province announce $10 million in city transit funding

Feds, province announce $10 million in city transit funding

In this city..we do not need all large buses..a cmbination of some large and equal number of smaller buses half size. I have on many occasions in different areas in this city stood and counted the passengers and most often numbers of 8 to 12 riding in one large bus. That is a huge waste of money. The transit system is so use to repeating the same large style buses over and over again and fail to recognize the error in their choice. I feel this suggestion is at least worthy of some City group to look into.
