We already have a grocery store on Wellington st(RJ's).. We used to have a grocery store in Station Mall.. We don't have that anymore. It's not because of not enough elderly people down there... Elderly people can't afford 3 grand per month to live in a condo down there in the first place.. Do you think that 80 yr old people in retirement will shop at those 14 new stores? They would live there for no parking( for their family members) to take a walk on the boardwalk and to spend their families life savings at the casino as it's a 5 minute walk....

Are they building new stores in the mall that attract 70 year old people? If my apartment is worth $1550 per month; then the cost per month for a condo down there would be worth 3 grand per month to start!!! Rich people do not want to live down there!!!!!

I don't know where people can park to walk on our boardwalk when they don't want people parking in hundreds of unused spaces at the Station Mall. So they just block everything off..

What if they are going through serious withdrawals that can cause death?

@PaulV78 Yeah... I had one nurse there shaking her head at me and treating me bad when I felt like I was dying while giving me Iv's and valium injections. APH even called me a few days after about my bloodwork as they were concerned. Some care at SAH. I went to detox a few times(when it was at the hospital), but once I feel better I just leave. Almost every time I went there I was sent to the emergency dept by them, but I didn't go through emergency first usually. Some of the people who go there feel better and just stay there longer. One time I got kicked out in the middle of the night because they thought I slammed the bathroom door too hard. They are light doors. I told a nurse that the next time I went and she said she accidently slams the door because the doors are light... The SAH owes me 2 ambulance rides and 2 cab rides.

And you wouldn't believe what the nurses talk about at 2-4 am. Your grandparents have to hear all of their perverted discussions.

Good idea, but more people are calling the new place because it's more comfortable and people can actually go outside. Also, people who went to the hospital for detox do not go through the emergency department. They get a bed in 20 minutes and they usually almost always had a bed available then. Now you have to wait like 2 months to get a bed(not joking), and not when you really need it. WHY? The hospitals old detox was a small hallway with 13 beds. This new place has 17 beds. This new place is better and more comfortable for the addicts and alcoholics, but it's only 5 extra beds for 20 million dollars. Also, If someone is going through withdrawals and need to see a doctor, how are they supposed to be transported to the hospital and back when the hospital discharges them? Are the junkies supposed to walk there? They can't afford the transportation each way. And there are no doctors there.

I've never been there. I like the idea of having mental health and addictions in one place tho.

They make profit from the sick people... Even withdrawal management. Last night they told me that all 13 beds are full. It's never full. Now, just today they opened the new place at the old Sault Star building. That is 5 million dollars that we paid for 7 more beds.. I was on a waiting list for the last 2 weeks and they told me that not 1 person was discharged. Now they have 20 beds and they still didn't call me!!! They definitely profit from the sick people. They love it!! Why do I know more about this than they do?

And yet they charged us 6 cents per plastic bag and we recycled it (without rebate) and they banned the plastic bags except for Pino's who now charges 15c per bag, dollar store who now charges 8cents per bag and Giant tiger who charges 20c per bag.... They are nowhere near the plant; but now they capitalize on it.... If I would have known that, I wouldn't have recycled not even 1 plastic bag; I would have just hoarded them all... They even shut down garbage chutes in apt buildings because of that.... Now people have to purchase 10 garbage bags from the store for 5 bucks.... What a trade off....

It's not the city's fault for Walmart shutting the doors. Besides. You guys got the food bank! I don't have any food banks near me!

I saw a sidewalk plow plowing the sidewalk with no snow on it the other day.... Instead of plowing sidewalks that have no snow on it; why don't they grab a shovel and be productive for their money.

Who said anything about building more roads on 2nd line? I think you're the only one who said that! The sault's population still stays roughly around 75grand of people...

Go to school kid!!
