Barrie was definitely "The Good Cop" in the good Cop, Bad Cop scenario! He was a good neighbor and friend. A compassionate and caring person who was always willing to help. "Davey whataya need", "Help yourself to the asparagus." The entire neighborhood knew the voice of Ernie Harwell on Saturday afternoons ... I used to stop whatever I was doing in the yard and listen whenever I heard Harwell shout "That one is lo...ng gone." After Barrie and Del & the girls moved Saturday afternoons were never the same. That’s just a sampling of the memories, there are countless others. Barb and I, Chris, Sheri & Ronnie will miss him, like I said "He was one of the good ones" You might say "he's was a chip off the old block". I know he would appreciate me saying that!
