I love this article. Well said. Big difference between between a want and a need. Most of these people don't get it. LIVE WITHIN YOU MEANS !!!

Get time to buy . Bad time to sell . Given current market uncertainty your more likely to get a better deal now as a buyer

Ernie . For one your not gonna pay 400-600 in utilities for a 800 square foot apartment . City needs affordable housing no doubt , but you would have to have rocks in your head invest 3-4 million dollars to rent out luxury apartments for $800 all inclusive because it makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Mabee you and the rest of these losers should have made better life choices and you might be able to rent a unit instead of living in your moms basement. Or better yet you can go convert a school into a 20 unit apartment building and make all the rents $800 and then find a bank that takes kisses and hugs in lieu of interest payments . Let me know how that works out for you . Mike drop

10-15 ads for apartments available out of the 10000 rental units in town is .1% vacancy. Seems more like a shortage to me?

Read the article. Its not being torn down. Its being renovated. If you wanted to keep it the way it was,and let the crack heads roam freely throughout the vacant school then you should have ponied up the cash and bought it yourself!!
