Well said. Thank you for taking the time to put your passion for patient care into the written word for all to read. We too are firm believers in all you have written. The government has not done anything to help the situation hence the problems. What about recruiting all the doctor, medical personal, nurses, who immigrated to our country and are driving cabs, or washing floors because they can't afford to requalify. Hire them now and do on the job training to requalify, Pay them to go back to school for one year to learn the Canadian Medical requirements. Relocate them to places North of Barrie for a period of years after they recertify. Use retired doctors maybe to supervise them. Provide the funding for all this.

My condolences to the family. Joanne was a great swim teacher with lots of enthusiasm that helped even the most nervous swimmer feel comfortable learning to enjoy the water as they learned to swim. It was a wonderful time at the Y back then and I remember the laughs and gatherings on the pool deck with much joy. Great photo of her and a wonderful story of her many activities. She was a wonderful person. Your memories will be many. Ginny Gulyas

Our condolences to the family. Roman was the fixture at the Lottery shop on Queen. Many great conversations ensued as the purchase of the weekly tickets was processed. Always ready for Ernie's joke of the week or month. May your memories and the love of friends, who also feel the loss, help to sustain you going forward.

Our condolences to all the family. A strong force in everything she tackled. Determined to do her best. Great aquatic teacher, a fun person. I had the pleasure of her company at the pool for several years, and then after a gap got to play crib with her at the Center. She could play a mean game of crib. So much laughter at her table. She is in good company once again and having a blast I am sure. Carry on, Betty. Prayers to all Ginny & Ernie Gulyas

Our deepest condolences to all the family. So many fantastic, wonderful, fun memories of this terrific man. Hours helping build and repair his plane. Watching him progress through achieving his Pilot license and then his joy in flying his own toy. Superior plumber. Now he has his own wings. A life lived to the fullest. Ernie and Ginny Gulyas

Our heartfelt condolences to you Leslie, Elizabeth, Rob, Gord, and to your families. Your Mom epitomized the meaning of what it was to be a lady and of being kind, and caring. Despite the decline in so many areas of health she still always had a smile and enjoyed visits and being part of the activities at Collegiate Heights. She missed Frank so much and now she is back in his arms. May the many friends reaching out to you at this time help you all. Hugs Ernie & Ginny Gulyas

Our condolences to Robert, Doris James, and the family for the loss of your beloved Mother and grandmother.
So many wonderful memories spent in the company of Shirley in the pool at the Y, and her great leadership as an Aquatic Instructor and Synchronized Swimming Coach. Participating in water shows, then meeting up again at the Senior Centre to play Cribbage. Her perseverance to recover from her stroke and her laughter. Always keeping those around her feeling good to be alive. Rest in Peace, enjoy swimming and playing cards with those who went before you. Being with you beloved Gord again. Ginny & Ernie Gulyas

The reason for the change is valid but the cost needs to be far less. Shouldn't cost that much to make a new one. What if each of the organizations he wants to have recognized contributes something towards their medallion? Who is being given the task of designing and casting the new chain? Where is the YMCA and other service clubs spot on the chain.?
