TRANSPORT TAKES THE DITCH TO AVOID MOOSE Batchawana A transport driver tried to avoid hitting a moose on Highway 17 near Batchawana early yesterday morning and ended up in the ditch. The driver, from Shelbourne Quebec, was not injured.

THREE CHARGED IN WEEKEND BEATING OF HEYDEN MAN (Heyden, Ont.) The Ontario Provincial Police has arrested and charged an 18-year-old man and two young persons in connection with the beating of a Heyden man on the weekend.

HEYDEN WOMAN ASSAULTED Heyden, Ont., A Heyden woman was treated at Sault and Area Hospital after being assaulted. Yesterday at about 1:45 p.m. police were called to the Cedar Court home in Heyden after the woman called police.
