A Batchawana First Nation resident will appear in bail court this morning after assaulting a woman over the weekend. On Sunday morning at about 1:30 a.m. police were called to a home on Frontenac Street on the Batchawana First Nation.

Motorist traveling on Hwy 17 in Heyden, north of Sault Ste Marie, have one more traffic hazard to worry about. Last night at about 8:30 a group of kids were perched on a rock cut near Trout Lake Road throwing snowballs at passing cars and trucks.

Sault Ste Marie, Ont. - Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment responded to seven collisions and vehicles in the ditch from mid-morning yesterday, when the freezing rain hit this area, until about 9 p.m. last night.

A forty five year old Goulais River man appears in court today after a lengthy investigation by Sault Ste Marie OPP.Earlier in November OPP began an investigation into bad cheques issued in the Goulais River and Havilland Shores Drive area.
