EARLY MORNING COLLISON ENDS TRIP
Montreal River, Ont.,

An early morning collision on Hwy 17 near Montreal River put an end to two Quebec mens' cross Canada trip.

At about 7:00 a.m. yesterday morning the two were traveling north on Hwy 17 near Montreal River . The one side of the car left the paved portion and the driver over corrected the steering. The car slid across the highway and smashed into a series of guide rails.

Both occupants were wearing their seat belts and so none was injured. The car was destroyed and had to be towed from the area. No charges were laid in the collision.


DOGS RUNNING AT LARGE KILL LIVESTOCK

In one of three dog complaints yesterday, Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating an incident were a pack of loose dogs killed a person's livestock.

Yesterday, at about 3:30 p.m. a pack of three to five dogs got into a chicken coup on Hwy 552 in Goulais River. The dogs managed to kill three chickens before the dogs were run off by a neighbo
