NOT OVER THE LEGAL LIMIT- BUT STILL NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE

Sault Ste Marie OPP charged one person after his vehicle went into the ditch on the Searchmont Hwy early this morning.

At about 1:30 a.m. Sault Ste Marie OPP officer's arrived and found the vehicle in the ditch but not damaged. The driver of the vehicle had been drinking and was driving under the authority of a "G2" Ontario drivers licence. A roadside breathalyzer indicated that he was under the legal limit but was drinking. A G2 licence does not allow anyone to operate a vehicle while having any alcohol to drink.

The 22 year old man from Sault Ste Marie was charged under the Highway Traffic Act and his vehicle was towed.
