The weather conditions on Hwy 17 in the Batchewana area again played a role in two minor injury accidents yesterday.

At 9:00 a.m., a vehicle was northbound on Hwy 17. A second vehicle pulled out onto the highway from a private driveway in front of the first vehicle. The two collided and both drivers suffered minor injuries. No one required medical treatment. Blowing snow reduced visibility at the time.

The second collision occurred at 6:00 p.m. yesterday in the same Batchewana area. A northbound pick-up truck when the driver lost control in the slush. The truck crossed the highway, went into the ditch, and rolled onto its roof. The driver complained of injuries but did not require hospitalization. Both of these accidents occurred in the same general area of the two transports that went into the ditch over the weekend.

No charges were laid.
