A simple locking device and the thirty seconds to one minute that it takes to lock your snow machine may make the difference between a full season of trail riding and a full season of wishing you could ride the trails

With some resemblance of winter finally coming to Algoma District Ontario Provincial Police would like to remind all snow machine enthusiast of the OPP's 'LOCK IT OR LOSE IT" campaign to prevent snow machine thefts.

Last year, in just the Sault Ste Marie and surrounding area, OPP recovered close to $250,000.00 in stolen snow machines. All of the recovered machines were stripped or in the process of being stripped of all parts and being prepared to be shipped out of the area.

This year's snow machine season has already been shortened by the warm weather. OPP would like to encourage all snow machine owners and riders to take some
