The following is a news release from Ontario Provincial Police:

Female charged in domestic dispute

BRUCE MINES - On Sept. 10, 2017, shortly after 5:30 p.m., members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Prout Street in the Town of Bruce Mines.

Investigation determined that a male and female had been arguing over financial and property issues. As the argument continued the female uttered to destroy a piece of property that male owned before entering into a relationship with the female.

As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old female from Bruce Mines, Ontario, was charged with: Uttering Threats-Property Damage, contrary to section 264.1(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Oct. 20, 2017.
