So far Sault Ste Marie has received no reports of any damage or other vandalism in the area that is policed by the OPP. No reports have been received regarding any of the usual activities sometimes associated with Halloween.

ANOTHER DEER ACCIDENT
Heyden, Ont.

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to the area of the Mountain Ash Inn on Hwy 17 in Heyden last night for a truck -deer accident. At about 9:00 p.m. a pick-up was travelling on Hwy 17 in the area of the Mountain Ash Inn. A deer ran across the highway and was struck by a pick up truck.

The deer was injured but managed to run back into the bush. There were no injuries to anyone in the truck. The truck suffered moderate damage. A short search for the deer was conducted but it appears the deer made good its escape.
