Three more arrested in connection with January shooting in Espanola

The Ontario Provincial Police have arrested three more people in connection to a Jan. 21, 2021 shooting in Espanola.

The arrests are in addition to seven others who have already been arrested as part of the investigation.

39-year-old Kerri Lyn Duhaime of Espanola is facing charges of:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Dugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid (other than heroin), contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Obstruct peace officer, contrary to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)

42-year-old Taralee Robinson, also of Espanola, is facing charges of:

  • Trafficking in firearm, weapon, device or ammunition, contrary to section 99 of the CC
  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court, contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the CC

30-year-old Patrick Soucy of Sables-Spanish Rivers Township is facing a charge of:

  • Obstruct peace officer, contrary to section 129(a) of the CC.

All three were arrested on Tuesday.

The investigation remains ongoing.
