BLIND RIVER - On Jan. 11, 2019, members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol on Highway 17 within the Municipality of Huron Shores.
Shortly after 2:30 p.m., police observed a westbound vehicle on Highway 17 near Iron Bridge and initiated a vehicle stop. The female driver produced an expired insurance card.
As a result of the investigation, Sandra Folz of Thessalon, Ont. was issued a provincial offence notice and charged with fail to surrender insurance card, contrary to section 3(1) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
