LAIRD TOWNSHIP - On Jan. 6, 2019 at approximately 8:30 a.m., members from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision on Town Line Road, Laird Township, Ont.
As a result of further investigation, Odvar Hagen, 71 years old of Sudbury, Ont. was charged with the following:
• Care or control of a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol, contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC),
• Care or control of a motor vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol in 100 mL of blood, contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the CC.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Jan. 28, 2019 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
