Highway 17 at Bruce Mines was closed for a few hours on Saturday afternoon as fire crews worked to extinguish a structure fire near the town of Bruce Mines.
A reader reports that a farmhouse located off Highway 17 near Centre Line Road was damaged by fire.
The highway remained closed from about 4 to 6:30 p.m.
Motorists travelling on Highway 17 reported seeing black smoke billowing from the structure shortly after 3:30 p.m.
The extent of the damage is unknown at this time.
