Solar panels reported stolen from Batchawana cottage

In a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of Ontario Provincial Police on Nov. 23 at 10 a.m., it was stated that members responded to a complaint of a theft from a cottage property located in Batchawana.

Investigation revealed that sometime between Nov. 15 and Nov. 23, someone attempted to steal four solar panels from the property. Two panels were stolen while the other two panels were damaged, the release stated. 

The solar panels are described as black, Coleman 150 watt panels. They are approximately 149 x 66.5 x 3.5 cm in size and are valued at $600 each. 

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this crime should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.
