On Sept. 3, 2018, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment's Highway Safety Division of the Ontario Provincial Police observed a vehicle speeding on Second Line in the City of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
A traffic stop was conducted and as a result of further investigation, Brett Davey, 29 years old of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. was charged with the following;
- care or control of a motor vehicle over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
- speeding contrary to section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Oct. 1, 2018 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
