A search for a missing boater on Agnew Lake near Espanola ended on Sunday as members of the Ontario Provincial Police Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) recovered the body of a 64-year-old from Chelmsford, Ont.
On Friday, Manitoulin OPP officers responded to a report of an unoccupied boat circling the lake shortly after 7 p.m.
With the help of the USRU, the OPP Emergency Response Team, and North Shore Search and Rescue, a search began and continued into the weekend.
The body of Royal Beausoleil was recovered Sunday.
Foul play is not suspected.
