Sault driver charged with impaired near Woodstock

OPP conducted a traffic stop after observing the 24-year-old driving in an erratic manner

A Sault Ste. Marie driver faces impaired charges after being stopped by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) near Woodstock last weekend.

A news release issued yesterday by the Oxford County OPP detachment states that Summer Hajnal was observed driving erratically on July 31 on Highway 2 in Blandford-Blenheim Township. A traffic stop was initiated at approximately 2:25 a.m.

The 24-year-old accused from Sault Ste. Marie is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock at a later date and stands charged with:
    •    operation while impaired
    •    operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
    •    novice driver - B.A.C. above zero
    •    class G1 licence holder - unaccompanied by qualified driver
