NO INJURIES IN TRANSPORT ACCIDENT
Goulais River, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP will not be laying any charges as a result of a collision yesterday involving a loaded transport truck.

At about 11:00 a.m. on Friday, a transport loaded with logs was southbound on Hwy 17 near Whiskey Bay some 60 kms north of Sault Ste Marie.

The transport failed to negotiate a curve in the highway, left the roadway and rolled over. The driver of the truck was not injured in the accident.

There was a minor diesel spill from the truck. The fuel was contained by the Goulais River and Batchawana Fire Departments.

Police believe that very isolated snow and ice in that particular area played a significant role in the accident.
