One from Blind River charged after domestic disturbance in Thessalon

A cell phone and home phone were damaged during a domestic disturbance in Thessalon, OPP say. Police report that on Wednesday after 11:30 p.m., officers responded after the accused allegedly pushed the complainant.

A cell phone and home phone were damaged during a domestic disturbance in Thessalon, OPP say.

Police report that on Wednesday after 11:30 p.m., officers responded after the accused allegedly pushed the complainant.

During the altercation, the phones were damaged, police say.

As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old from Blind River was charged with:

  • Assault - spousal, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC); and with
  • Mischief - domestic, contrary to section 430(4) of the CC.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Dec. 17, 2020.
