Highway remains closed from Wawa to White River

WAWA —  On Apr. 13, 2017 at approximately 4:40 a.m. members of the Superior East (Wawa) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Wawa Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 17, seven kilometres south of Highway 519 (Dubreuilville turnoff).  

There were two occupants in the vehicle. A 35-year-old male passenger has been pronounced deceased at the scene and the 26-year-old male driver has been transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
