A.T.V. ACCIDENT SENDS TWO MEN TO HOSPITAL
Batchawana, Ont.,

On Saturday Nov. 3 2001, at about 1:00p.m. Batchawana Fire and Rescue responded with Sault Ste Marie OPP to help bring two men out of bush area after an A.T.V. rolled over on top on the two

The two men were several miles in the bush behind Turkey Lake. Police and fire official estimate that they were some seven miles from any roadway. The two were trying to ride an A.T.V. up a steep, slippery rock incline. The A.T.V. began to slip and rolled over top of the two men.

Fifty three year old Karl Christiansen, and his friend, Edward Muenier, both of Sault Ste Marie were transported to Sault and Area Hospitals. They are suspected to have some broken bones but the injuries were not life threatening.

The investigation is continuing and charges under the Off Road Vehicle Act are pending.
